Climate Investment leads funding round for Ontruck

Ontruck is Europe’s leading digital freight brokerage platform, connecting carriers and shippers more efficiently.

By optimizing utilization of trucks, Ontruck reduces the number of empty kilometres travelled by goods vehicles leading to significant reductions in CO₂ emissions. OGCI CI’s investment will accelerate the development of its transport network and technology through the injection of capital. Ontruck will also seek to leverage the expertise and resources of OGCI’s members to achieve a common goal of developing, implementing and scaling innovative low carbon solutions in commercial transportation.

To date, Ontruck has cut the percentage of kilometres driven by vehicles running without cargo from an industry average of 44% to 19%. This achievement, which prevented 728 tonnes of C0₂ emissions from entering the atmosphere, consolidates the platform’s position as a market leader in providing sustainable transport solutions. These results have been audited by the European Lean & Green initiative that recently recognized Ontruck as one of its member companies
